[Help Needed] Cannot find FileMaker Server!

Featured Replies

ok~ i got filemaker server advanced working for me before, but after i installed filemaker server update v2, the web publishing engine begins to have problem...

right now my filemaker server is ON, and is working for everybody in the LAN, and my web publishing service is also ON. i setup the passcode and the allow clients to connect blah blah... that's not the issue.

the issue is that when i go to the web publishing admin console (i.e. by access http://localhost/fmi/config), it keeps on saying that it cannot find the FileMaker server.

well ok, the server and the publishing engine are on the same computer, and server ip and passcode are correct (i tried localhost, 127.0.0.1, and even the ip of the computer itself), all failed. web publishing console still gives me that it cannot find a FileMaker server there!

and then site assistant could connect to the server, but it didn't find any databases being shared! confused.gif which is terribly odd because i am sure a database is shared and everyone is using it on the LAN..

help plz...

Do you have SSL turned on in FMS?
