Page Breaks in Sub-Summary Parts

We have a contacts database of company employees that we print in a layout using sub summaries for each department. Each department has differing numbers of employees. Our printed layout has leading department summaries, then a list of all the employees underneath.

We'd like to prevent the layout printing a department summary on the last line (or nearly last line) of one page, and then having many (or all) of the records of employees printing on the next page (now without a leading summary).

Is it possible to specify where Page Breaks occur beyond the set of options available in 'Part Definition'?

Is it possible to have the sub-summary repeated at the top of the next page if it's records are broken over two or more pages?

Even though it wouldn't solve the problem properly, I could use something like 'Page Break BEFORE every X occurrence' but this option doesn't exist in Part Definition.

I'm not really interested in using portals, as this would defeat the purpose of the automatic structuring of the layout.

Any suggestions? This must be a common problem people encounter, printing these type of reports.

You can use a technique similar to this one, except you'll be testing the previous record's data instead of the following one.
