FM 7v2 Update fails to install on XServer

Can anyone please help?

I have a new X Server OS 10.3.6 and a freshly installed copy of FM 7.0.1 Server Advanced. I would like to update this to v72, but the update fails with the error " The update did not complete successfuly". I have full administrative access, the sever has been rebooted and no filemaker services are currently running.

The update has successfully installed on another server running FM server7, but without the "Advanced"

This is usually because one of the daemons is still running in the background and is unable to be updated. Restarting the machine without running FM Server Admin will usually stop both daemons, unless you selected autostart at login, in which case I'm not sure how to stop the daemons.

I have tried both killing the daemons with "Activity Monitor" and restarting the server with "no filemaker server processes" running. I still had the problem. I've admitted defeat, deleated the installed files, rebooted and re-installed. All is OK now, so I am putting it all down to experience and hope that it wont happen again.
