Hello,

This may seem like an odd request and I'm not sure where to post it.

I am a teacher and have been asked to pull data from my report cards ever term for the last 4 years.

My report cards are based on a FMPro 5 database (Ontario Report Cards) The data is the marks in English and Math. Instead of manual writing down the data, I am hoping that I can pull the data out of the assess fmp file and save it as a tab file.

I know the field information - like the English subject is subject_id 21 and the Mathematics subject is subject_23 also the information I need to move to a tab file is - gender, strand1_T1, strand2_T1 ...Strand3_T1 for both subjects.

I am just learning to use filemaker for making databases with my students, so I am a relative FMP newbie. Any help, direction to resources to help, or a possible solution. I would even be willing to pay someone to help me do it.

I will attach the file in case that helps. (Actually I had to remove the file because it contained student info sorry - I will try to find an empty file)

Thank you for your time.

Yes I would like to extract as a tab file.

Looking at the tutorial I will try and follow it to figure out how to extract the data into a tab file. I will let you know who it goes. I'm just concerned about running a script from another FMP file and calling the data in order to protect my original data.

Thanks,

Q
