a CALCULATION as field entry?

Is there any way of being able to input a calculation (any) into a text field and another field work out what the result should be?

(416/12) * 10

I just wondered - not really a problem if it can't but I thought I'd ask. Maybe there is some validating script step you can do to get a result into another field
