Newbies gorteo Posted December 14, 2004 Newbies Posted December 14, 2004 Hi there, My company have just bought Filemaker Server 7 and Server 7 Advanced and it is driving me crazy . I've installed FM Server and IWP on windows 2003 Server. When I try from my workstation to open our database remotely everything works fine. When I try to access it via HTTP from our LAN then it asks me for a username and password!!! I think its an IIS issue but I checked in the IIS Manager and it has nothing to do with my filemaker file. Also as we are working from our LAN our workstations have access to our intranet with no problem(hosted by IIS). Why in the name of god this thing is asking for a password??? Any help will be appreciated.
Wim Decorte Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 Is the intranet hosted on the same IIS box as the one you have configured the WPE to work with? Are you using external authentication for your FMS? Are you using default logons in your filemaker files?
Newbies gorteo Posted December 14, 2004 Author Newbies Posted December 14, 2004 The Intranet is hosted on the same IIS box as the one I have configured WPE. How can I check if I am using external authentication for my FMS?? I am using default logons in my filemaker file but I also tried it without logon and still asks for username and password.
durow Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 It looks like we are having the same problem as gorteo. Did anyone ever get this figured out? thanks
