Dan-A Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Hi All, I have a starting script that uses the Set System Formats script step... It is set to OFF, which I thought would mean that I force the users into using the formats that were saved with the file & not the current computer systems formats. The problem i encounter is that when i copied my file to another machine to test this...i get a pop-up message asking me to use the file or system settings!!! What did i forget to do?? The step is the 1st line in my start-up script that runs when the file is opened. I have also included the same step in a related file in case that the pop-up message is generated from that file. thanks for your help. --Dan
-Queue- Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 File -> File Options -> Text 'Always use file's saved settings'
Dan-A Posted December 16, 2004 Author Posted December 16, 2004 Thanks Queue. That was too simple! So why the script step then? For backward compatibility?
-Queue- Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 I would assume so. Either that or it's just something else they overlooked.
