A portal in a portal ???

Featured Replies

Hi, i have a portal on one of my layout with few fields in, my question is how can i have one of the field having multiple values while the others reamin the same, exemple:

a "part#" have 1 "part name" but could have more than 1 "2Aid" and "tube"

Any help would be much appreciated... (if u need a copy of my db u can download it from my post in Value List)

Thanks again for all the help we found on this great forum !!!grin.gif

What would be the purpose of having multiple values in the field? Would this be for visual purposes only? What would multiple values mean to the user?

well it won't be for visual value only, as it sould be linked to the Lab Data Layout and the user will be choosing which 2AId to test.

To explain a bit more, a part number is most often made by a tube and 2 connectors, but it can get a lot more complex and have 3 or 4 tubes and 5+ connectors as the part get more complex...

So my question is: will it be possible to do this in FMP as it will be great otherwise the user will have to put down the part number many times with different tubes and connectors no (2AId) and it will probably get very messy:(

Thanks for any thought.
