Newbies chri Posted December 18, 2004 Newbies Posted December 18, 2004 Hi, I have created navigation buttons that I would like to have appear on all layouts in a file (so I don't have to re-create or re-position them in each layout). Is this possible in Version 4? My appologies if there is an obvious solution. Thanks, Chris
Ender Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Copy the buttons and paste them into each layout. For positioning, I place an invisible rectangle in the upper left corner, and copy it along with the buttons so they will all be aligned the same. You can also use the T-square feature for aligning things the same on different layouts.
Newbies chri Posted December 18, 2004 Author Newbies Posted December 18, 2004 Thanks. So I gather that there is no way to make elements that will appear in more than one layout.
Ender Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 No. It might be nice if there were some style sheet like thing, but alas, we have to work with what we have.
transpower Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 You can use the Object Size Pallette to help you place your icons in the same exact location for each layout. Actually what I do is duplicate a fully-incon-ed layout and then delete what I don't need for the current layout.
