This may sound very stupid, but trust me I did a search in all of the forums before posting.

Is there a difference between a plug-in for Filemaker Pro 7 and Filemaker Pro 7 Advanced Server?

If I have a file that requires a plug-in, do I install the plug-in on the local machines, on the server, or in the auto update folder of the server?

On each local machine. Then if there's an update, you just run auto update from the server (which updates the local plug-ins). Better would be using Terminal Server; with that you would just have one plug-in at the Server/Terminal Server computer (with FM Pro) (which is separate from FM Advanced Server on another computer).
