WHICH ERROR DID I MAKE AND MAKING?

1. installed IIS 6

3. INSTALLED Server 7 & Server 7 Adv.

4. RESTARTED

5. Configured Server 7 & ENABLE Web Publishing Engine Client Services Identifier and Passcode

6. Login to Web Pub. Admin console (http://localhost/fmi/config)

7. Entered INDENTIFIER and PASSCODE into username and password fields.

BUT...

I STILL GET "USERNAME & PASSWORD INVALID". If I Cancel Web Publishing configuration I get "UNEXPECTED ERROR." I've restarted these services many times and STILL get these errors.

WHAT AM I MISSING? Please help.

I'am not sure, what goes wrong, but you need to be aware that the identifier and passcode is casesensitive.

Ok thanks. ı solved this problem.

For future reference to some people, you might have to config your IIS to accept passwords as clear text. This was a problem at my company that was solved by sending passwords in clear text. (internal only so I don't worry about security.
