I am having an unusual problem. I have a script which copies various fields to a related table through a series of set field script steps. I have enabled the creation of new records through this relationship. The script works great when the filemaker files are on my local computer. I have now hosted the filemaker files through filemaker server 7. When I use a client filemaker to access the remote files through "open remote", I am able to access my database files remotely. when i run the set field script, it is able to perform set field script steps within the file I am browsing but filemaker hangs permanently when the script hits set field script steps which involve a relationship to another hosted file. I get the same problem when hosting through filemaker 7. The user I have loged on with has full access privileges. Any ideas?

Okay i have some more clarification of the problem. seems that perhaps the problem is simply creating a new record through filemaker remote connection. When i open the file locally, I am able to create a new record no problem. When I open the same file through filemaker network connection, trying to create a new record hangs filemaker. I am able to create a new record in a another filemaker file that has no file references through fmnet. So perhaps the problem is with the file references. I have multiple files shared on one fmserver 7 and some of the files have file references to some of the other fmnet shared files. I have tried file references of the type file:file name and fmnet://hostname.domain.com/file name. Any ideas how to fix this?
