January 3, 200521 yr Newbies When using the "Send Mail" function as a button, referencing a specific field for the email address i get 2 entries in OS X Mail's recipients field. Has anyone else experienced this? Any help would be appreciated!
February 25, 200520 yr Yes, I noticed this too, but it is merely a kind of bug in the Apple Mail display. You can check out for yourself: send an email (with dialog, so Mail will 'hold' the message) to an address that is not in your address book. (If it is in your address book, the display error will not occur by the way). You will see the double <[email protected]><[email protected]> in the To: field (or cc: or bcc:). When you save the message as a concept, and review the source there, you will notice that in the source everything is correct. As far as my experience goes, there is only the display problem and not a real problem. Harryk
May 13, 200520 yr I have justed posted a cry for help because of the same problem #159455 - Fri May 13 2005 11:17 AM Attachment (1 downloads) It's a huge problem for me as I need this functiuon badly to run my business more eficiently. I have read the above from harryk but do not understand what is meant by "save the message as a CONCEPT, and REVIEW THE SOURCE THERE, you will notice that in the source everything is correct. When I have got an answer for the above does that then mean that I will be able to send an email message to a group using FM and Apple Mail? Thanks. Todd
October 11, 200520 yr I am TOO trying to get to the bottom of this.. I think that if the email address is in your address book, this either 1. won't happen or 2. the email will send successfully, even if duplicated in the to/cc line. I'm SURE there are other posts about this.. let's all search and try to find the answer. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to search this site.. everytime I do a +this+that+thatother it results with tons of hits that don't include all three words. Anyone also have a tip on that ??
October 11, 200520 yr Thanks Ugo. I'm wondering.. what is the best way to structure the syntax of multiple email addresses "[email protected]"; "[email protected]" vs. "[email protected], [email protected]" vs. [email protected] [email protected] I'm struggling with how to set this up so that it works for both my mac (mail & eudor) & PC (outlook) clients. I think I will in fact update to Tiger.. I think that FM7 or 8 clients will stay attached to a FM7 server under fast user switching whereas FM7 client would disconnect when user is not in foreground.
