Someone please help me! I made a stupid fro Filemaker to close the active window at startup which effectively closes the file. Therefore I can't even open it anymore! Is there any way to open the file without the startup script executing, or am I out of luck?

Thanks,

Mark

welcome to the forums.

you should try command-. (that's open apple & period) which stops scripts. It's a bit tricky to catch the script in time.

You can bypass the startup script if you cause the file to be opened by a relationship. Create a new file with a relationship to a table in your file. Have a field that uses related data. This should open the other file so you can edit the startup script.

Thanks everyone. I couldn't catch the script with command, but I'll try opening the file with a relationship. Appreciate the help!
