January 6, 200521 yr Newbies Someone please help me! I made a stupid fro Filemaker to close the active window at startup which effectively closes the file. Therefore I can't even open it anymore! Is there any way to open the file without the startup script executing, or am I out of luck? Thanks, Mark
January 6, 200521 yr mark: welcome to the forums. you should try command-. (that's open apple & period) which stops scripts. It's a bit tricky to catch the script in time. -stanley
January 7, 200521 yr You can bypass the startup script if you cause the file to be opened by a relationship. Create a new file with a relationship to a table in your file. Have a field that uses related data. This should open the other file so you can edit the startup script.
