Chetgeo Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Choosing a label After alot of poking around I have found that there are too many places and default settings for this label printer. I print out med labels using the 30326 label in version 6 after some modifications. And now I am upgrading my DB from FMP6 to 7. I will go to the print setup and change the label to 30326 while in layout mode so I can see the boundry lines. Sometimes they change correctly and sometimes they do not. When they change correctly (YEA), I print and they change back to the manufactures default of 30252 and prints it out that way (CRY). Proceeding to the start settings print window where my trusted label printer is displayed, I right click to bring up the properties and change every default setting I can possibly find to 30326. Switching back to my DB and going to my layout I still see the incorrect boundries and proceed to print setup and from there change to 30326. (Kool the boundries changed)Select print and low and behold its back to 30252. If I had any hair on my head, I would have pulled it out. Thinking that mabey a reboot my do it I've done that too. Also Im using windows XP on this right now, but most of my puters run 98se.
stanley Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 I've seen similar behavior on Dymo 330s connected to Win 95/98 machines. It seems as though they randomly determine when to lose the label setting, and it happens around once a year or so. -Stanley
Newbies AvatarOnICE Posted January 10, 2005 Newbies Posted January 10, 2005 We have a Dymo label printer but we can not print anything (Win XP + FM 7). With File Maker 7 we had no problems in printing labels, but with FM7 we can not. It's like File Maker 7 print only images and not text...
