Chris Good Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Can I make a custom dialogue message display a value from a field? For example can I put <<Products::Product Name>> in the message? I tried it and it dodn't work so I assume the answer is no, unless I did it wrong. Thanks guys.
stanley Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Chris: To the right of the text box there is a button ("select..." or something) which, when you click it, gives you a calculation window. You can put in your text & select your field here. -stanley
Chris Good Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 I see. I was able to get it to dsiplay properly when I just put the field in there. but how do I add text. I tried quotes around just the text or around the whole thing and none of that worked.
stanley Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Chris: The format is: "your text" & yourdb::yourfield & "some more text" -Stanley
Chris Good Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 Stanley you are a god. Thanks for helping us newbies out.
stanley Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 It can't possibly be true. If it was, I wouldn't have to wait so long for the pizza to be delivered. -Stanley
