Printing on non-8 1/2 X 11 Avery Labels?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the *paper* size to something smaller than 8 1/2 X 11 so I could print on labels that come on the small sheets? Thanks!

Deborah:

There are a number of presets in FMP, but perhaps it would be helpful to know exactly what label/sheet size you are trying to print.

Sure. Use Custom Measurements.

The labels are at work (and I'm not at the moment). However, they are on sheets that are roughly 4 X 6 and none of them appear in the pre-set list provided in FileMaker. I know I can make custom sizes for the labels themselves but won't FileMaker give me 8 1/2" / label width across the top and 11" / label height down? I looked in the Page Set Up and there were only standard sizes there. Does it depend on the printer? I see that my lowly Epson Stylus printer at home here has many more options for paper size than I seem to have at work (networked LaserJet 4). It would be very handy to be able to print labels for all kinds of things (such as file folders and just "stuff" that needs to be labeled).
