Newbies ASUEducation Posted January 20, 2005 Newbies Posted January 20, 2005 Hi, I'm new to the forums, and relatively new to File Maker Pro. I made a couple of databases and didn't have problems hosting it on one computer, but now I have moved to another Mac (running on OS X) and the databases were giving me an "unknown error of 802" in IE when I tried to access them. I tried working in Netscape and it was fine, but since FM doesn't really "support" Netscape, I downloaded Safari and when I tried going back to FM, the files were saying that IWP could not start, and sometimes saying that the computer was already hosting the file. Even when I close everything up and restart, it's giving me the same problem. What's going on? Thanks for any advice!
Newbies ANDRONICO Posted March 28, 2005 Newbies Posted March 28, 2005 Use this very useful log: tail -f /var/log/httpd/error_log If you want to restart IWP sudo SystemStarter restart "FileMaker Web Publishing" Change "restart" for "start" or for "stop", if you need. Regards
Newbies fmpatcsl Posted March 29, 2005 Newbies Posted March 29, 2005 Might you elaborate? I too am unable to get IWP to start. I've set the port and then get an error (Win XP) and the program is killed.
scotty581 Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I am having this same exact problem and Ive tried restarting the computer and restarting the service as you stated.
