I am in need of assistance and can't seem to find it anywhere. I started my job about three years ago, plopped into the middle of FileMaker with no idea what I was doing. Since then I have been teaching myself how to use the program.

What I have not yet been able to figure out on my own is how to send e-mails. I have FileMaker Pro 6.0 and Microsoft Outlook 2003. I have to spend about three hours each semester sending masses of slightly modified e-mails to students and want to expedite this process. Is there someone kind out there who wouldn't mind explaining to me how this works?

I can get it to pull up an e-mail message using the SendMail script command, but only to the person in the current record, and it won't let me hit send. I would really, really appreciate the assistance.

Write a script to loop through your records, using the Send Mail step within the loop. You can specify a calculation in the message area, so as to "slightly modify" each message.
