Changes in decimal places after publishing online

I have no problem telling numbers to have 2 decimal places while in Filemaker, but once the information is published online they seem to get a mind of their own. For instance, in Filemaker I can view

Do you have the fixed number of decimal digits set to 2?

Yes, the fixed number of decimal digits is set to 2 places and it is viewed that way within filemaker. However, once the information is viewed through a web browser it doesnt seem to matter how many decimal places are set, it goes back to the original results of the equations.
