Has anyone used the function point analysis method for estimation of any work to be done on FileMaker Pro? Also, could you please share how do you estimate the time in man-hours involved when you receive any new work?

It would be helpful if I can get the solution asap.

I base it on experience. What I do is negotiate a scheduled completion date with the client and let the hours float. The client can see the work at any time and change his specs at any time. Avoid quoting a fixed project price; if you do, then at the very least do not allow the client to change the specs--if he does, then you must add a surcharge.
