A solution I'm working on has 6 seperate files/modules. I need to have links between them and it does work perfect when I do that in Filemaker. The question I have is what happens if the server changes IP#s, or if my solution is moved to a new pc entirely and possibly a new directory, do these links become broken and can they be easily re-established? Basically what I'm asking is that can I set it up so that as long as all the files are in the same directory it will be fine?

I don't think you should have a problem. Personally, I'm in a situation where files tend to stay where they're put but a quick review of FileMaker help indicates that you should be able to use RELATIVE paths to link the files together. Do a search for Defining File References in the help section and I think you'll find your answer.
