alitheg Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 I have a master password, a teacher password and a pupil password (blank). Each has it's own group. Two seperate portals appear but the data is not visible under both the teacher and pupil groups. Why do these two portals only display data under the master password?
QuinTech Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Hi, ali, and booyakasha. Do the teacher and pupil passwords have privileges in the subordinate file to edit/browse data? HTH, Jerry
alitheg Posted January 28, 2005 Author Posted January 28, 2005 The subordinate files do not have passwords set up.
QuinTech Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 I think, then, that you'll have to inspect the way the relationships are set up. Can you post your files? J
alitheg Posted January 29, 2005 Author Posted January 29, 2005 Not right now because I'm on a different computer, but I'll get them posted on Monday.
alitheg Posted January 31, 2005 Author Posted January 31, 2005 I cant actually post them, as I only have them on a Mac at school, and I can't work out how to compress them (must have the right filetype to post). Any ideas how to post them?
Lee Smith Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Download a Demo of StuffIt, it will allow you to use the .zip format, the preferred compaction format for this list. To prepare the files, be sure to remove any sensitive data, and pare the number of records down to just a sample of what you have. Put the files in a Folder and then compress the folder using zip format. HTH Lee
alitheg Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 Thanks everyone, but I found out what was happening. I never did work out why it was only 2 of 3 users, but the relationship was set to 'delete related record when delete record in this file', so whenever I deleted a record, the portal records were disappearing. Thanks again everyone!
