Nagorkram:

Welcome to the Forums.

If you want to email a record, the first thing you'll need to do is make a field which would be the body of the email - usually a calculation field combining various fields and formatting them nicely for either text email or html email.

Then you can write a script in ScriptMaker with the Send Mail [] command; using the "specify" button, you can set it to use particular fields as the destination email address, subject line, body, etc.

Hook that script up to a button and you're there.

here is a way that fenton helped with. It uses a global to set ALL the fields you want to send. At the bottom is the file, you can download it and see how it looped and the calculations. It looks like a lot, but it is just looping and looping.

Hi nagorkram, and welcome to the Forum.

If Standley hasn't answered your question, perhap a little more information will help us.

I'm not quite sure I know what you mean by Record?

A FileMaker file, a billing or something as attachment, a PDF, or to use FileMaker as your Email Application, etc.?
