convert filemaker v5 database to v7 with password

Hello, We have an old v5 database that is password protected. Attempted to covert it to v7 & it is asking for account name and password. Since v5 never asked for account name we are stuck. Person who created the database with master password is gone. Any suggestions on how we can successfully convert/access? Many thanks,

Leave the account name field blank (empty) and just type the password. Be aware that passwords in FMP 7 are case sensitive.

Thanks Vaughan, I tried w/out any account name and also tried to capitalize first letter in case it was that way in v5 and was still not able to access. They decided to scrap it and create a new database.

If a file is converted to V7 and has passwords, the account name becomes the password as well. Try the password in both - that should get you in.
