raingirl Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I have a database set up with external authentication through LDAP, v7.3, MacOSx. Everyone can log in fine but when all users (except the administrator) try to do anything (create, etc.) they get the following error message: "Your Access priviliges do not allow you to complete this action." Their privilege set allows them full access and the order of authentication for groups is fine. Does anyone have any idea what I am missing out on? Is there some special permission that I need to grant for the groups?
Lee Smith Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Hi Check out this recent post in Spotlight >> Upgrading & Migration Stanley HTH Lee
raingirl Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 This does not really help me. I am not converting a file from a previous version. Every user authenticated externally cannot modify or create records. I have changed the group order, the privilege set order. I am getting really frustrated with the authentication process. Anyone?
raingirl Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 never mind...i figured it out. You need to change the OSx permissions for the file. Get Info, change to read and write.
