Table occurrences in Relationships

Featured Replies

I'm developing an FM7 application.

One table - Charges - currently has two relationships originating from it - one to another table in the same file and the other to a table in another file. The linking field is different for each.

The 'name of table occurrence' for both is 'Charges'.

I'm trying to add a 3rd relation originating from this same table. The linking field is again different and it will link to a 3rd table in a 3rd file.

FM7 insists on making the 'name of table occurrence' for this 3rd relation 'Charges 2'.

Why the '2'? What significance should I attach to this?

TIA

A second TO is required to break a circular relationship. Is there a relationship in one of the ther files between the 2nd and 3rd files?

Thanks. I'm slowly beginning to understand what FM7 is all about from this and another thread I started
