I'm sure this question has been answered before, but I can't find it in the past forums. How do I get the minus (-) symbol in a pop up menu? I have a field called PCR results. It's either + or -. When I try to define the value list, it interprets a "-" symbol as a break line. So I've been temporarily using the underscore ( _ ) symbol. Thanks!

try putting a space in front of the minus symbol like so, " -" (without the quotes of course.. seems to work for me. then you could put a space infront of the plus(+) sign as well just to make them match up.. hope this works for you..

Thanks, that's a good idea, I might try that. Anyone else have a suggestion that would eliminate the space? (i.e. to facilitate running a find, w/o having to remember there's a space there)(There are others who will use this DB, and I would like to make it as user friendly as possible for them)

Try entering a "-" followed by a space.
