It is certainly a beginner problem (that's what I am): I need to extract the amount of different records(textpatterns) from a field and publish it as a chart (i bought a small programme therefore from http://www.briandunning.com/store/invoice.php) I tried several solutions from this site but so far successless; My own approach: case.... and thereafter sum(field) failed because of circular problems. What would be the fastest result on a fair amount of different text strings within a field??? confused.gif

Can you Stuff and post your files? There is not enough detail here for a proper diagnosis.
