when i try to make files multi user the message "no network protocol" set appears. when i go to preferences only the "none" option is set. however in networking i have tcp/ip set with a name. is this a filemaker problem or a osx setting i have not made correctly? [email protected]

How are you trying to serve the files?

Web, Server, FileShare, etc.

i am not using any server - i just open any file say, and got to application preferences. the network protocol displays <none> . in network window i have a location of home with tcp/ip with ip addresses. filemaker does not see this. i await your suggestions please?

You mean to say there's no option to pull-down to TCP/IP in application preferences, where it currently says "<none>"? That's strange.
