Hello all.

I've done this before for a different group and password called Tech about three years ago and it worked.

I've been asked to create a password for the network group to "just read" our database. I followed took the server offline, stopped Filemaker services, opened the file, it gave me my options to create Access Privliges.

I created the password first (netgroup), then the group (Netgroup), I set up the access for all the fields to read.

I can use the password on the server, but when I try it from fom another computer I get the password incorrect.

Please, what am I missing.

This sounds a bit like the old "duplicate files on the server" trick. Make sure the file you modified is *actually* the same file that is being shared.
