Is there a way to change the name that appears on the splash screen?

If you are talking about the Opening Screen, were is shows the Owner of the license of Software, your name, etc. You would have to Install it from the CD.

If you are talking about the Closing Screen of a Runtime Solution, not without using a hack like ResEdit (sic), and that would put you in violation of your license agreement.
