On some of my layouts ONLY the Portal data and auto entered data is showing up in Preview mode but everything prints OK when I print it to the printer. What do you suppose is going on? I guess that's better than the reverse situation, but I'd like the option of using preview and being able to rely on what I see. I am printing to a shared LaserJet 4 Plus (HP).

Are you printing from the same layout that you are previewing?

Make another layout just like the problem one from scratch. See if you get the same result. If it works correctly get rid of the problem layout.

Yes, it is the same layout. I haven't gotten to the point of scripting printing for this db yet. Creating an entire new layout from scratch will be much easier said than done -). If I have time I will try to do this but it would be nice to know what is wrong so that I don't do it again.

Have you checked for updated printer drivers? Isn't the 4+ an older printer? I don't know how the preview interacts with driver, but I would try it on a different printer and you may need to consider a new printer.
