Selecting "No Text" from value list

Featured Replies

I have this value list that is populated from the USE CUSTOM VALUES option.

I use it, for example, to select BillyBob, Skippy or Rex as a good candidate to assign a task.

Every now and then I would like the option to de-select these candidates.

IE, I would like to be able to click into a field and select (NOTHING), thereby setting the field to empty.

Can anybody tell me how to make this happen?

THanks,

Jarvis

Jarvis:

In the field format, you can select "Include Other", which allows the user to enter a custom value, or nothing. This will not work if the value list is based on a related field.

Or you can add a blank line to the custom value list. I usually put this at the end of the list. when you click the blank spot on the end of the popup list, the field is cleared.

or you can add a button next to the field that uses set field[] to clear the field contents.
