removing highlighting of a portal row

Is there any way of keeping the portal row from being highlighted when clicking in a portal row. Other than changing the portal layout.

I was also wondering if there is any way to keep the text frames from appearing when entering data. I know you can remove this in FM7 but I am not sure about FM6.

Not sure about he portal row highlight (as in, there is no way to stop it) but FMP 7 introduced an option to turn off field highlighting.

don't know whether this constitutes "changing the protal layout", but you could place buttons calling scripts over the portal row. The scripts could be dummy, or they could have a "GoToField" for fields the user is allowed to change. You still get a momentary highlighting, but better than highlighting the entire row.

There's no way to turn of protal row highlighting by setting preferences.
