I would like to know if it is possible to display a fields contents within a Show message script step.

also can a fields contents be used to label the 3 buttons in the Show Message script step?

In later versions you can use the Show Custom Dialog script step, but for FM5 you'd have to use a plug-in or a layout that's setup to look like a dialog.

I have looked at this feature on FM7 but cannot seem to get it right.

In the Show Custom Dialog options, hit the Specify button to open a calculation dialog. In here you can create your text, something like:

"Do you want to change the room number for " & Name_First_Last & "?"

I have just tried that and it's not showing the field contents.

the field name is

Sales line items::mobile number

any thoughts?
