February 15, 200520 yr Filemaker 5.0 I designed a program at 800x600 resolution and when I installed it the user screen is 1024x768 so it only displays on 1/2 of the screen How do you ensure a window is open to its largest capable size? This meaning the window must fill the user's screen, therefore a 800X600 user will have his window sized to 800x600 and a 1024x768 user will have his window sized to 1024x768. I guess the real question is that this window needs to be maximized as if the user clicked on the maximize button on the title bar and the proportions are right.
February 15, 200520 yr Toggle Window [Maximize] will work, but if another file is opened after the maximize step, the window will revert to its zoomed size. This will not change the font or object size though, only the window's size. You can do that using Set Zoom Level.
February 16, 200520 yr Author Wolfwood - I should have left out the part about maximize - I understand that. It is everything displayed on the screen titles., objects, buttons to increase when the display is 1024 x 768.
February 16, 200520 yr You'll need to redesign each layout for the new resolution. Yes, it's a lot of work.
