I have a recipe database that I am making for a school project, i am working with FMP 5 on windows version and FMP 7 on Mac. The problem is I have pop up menus on the start page and I would like to search the database with them. This is the script I have so far but it doesnt display them in the table view:

Enter Find Mode [Pause]

Go To Record/Request/Page [PROJECT::Name]

Enter Browse Mode [Pause]

Go To Layout ["Table View"]

I have tried moving the order and everything but it just doesnt seem to want to work.

If anyone could help me I would be so greateful, the project is due the end of this month !!

You should first go to the layout that you wish to search with, enter find mode and then pause. The user enters the search criteria and presses enter or continue script or you can make a button that continues the script. The rest of your script should be Perform Find and then go to the layout you wish to present the data. Good luck.

Perform Find []

Go to Layout [ table view ]
