ps I use windows 2003 but it's not in the list of os platform

Hi Gege,

It's a common misconception. You don't need to register FMS with the AD. All you need to do is:

- make sure the FMS machine is a member server of the domain

- set up FMS to accept both FM and external accounts (it's a option on the Security tab of FMS).

That's all. Well except that you have to create FM accounts, set to "External" that match existing AD group names.

Registering FMS with a Directory Service is for something else completely and has nothing at all to do with authentication.

it's all?

But what is directory service?

I juste have to make the exact user that I have in the AD and it il will work?

exemple gege in Ad and gege in filemaker?

and filemaker will contact AD?

that's marvellous

Thanks many many many time!

Gege
