Resolution has different meanings to different people. Do you mean screen size measured in pixels, cm or inches, or pixess per inch?

The NOMINAL screen resulution of early Windows was 64 pixels per inch, locked in shortly thereafter at 96 ppi. As far as I know, the Mac has always had a nominal screen resulution of 1 pixel = 1 point, or 72 pixels per inch.

If you're referring to dimensions, I do not have a complete list, but at the low end you had 512x320 and 640x480 and the upper end of equipment I've been working on has been about 1200x1024. However, some screens are cable of dimensions of 1600 and growing. I would not be surprised if some of the fancy Mac screens I've seen currently or will shortly exceed 2048 horizontally.

My guess is you're trying to match layouts to screen size, and I sympathize. A layout sized for a small screen looks awful on a large monitor, and the reverse situation is impossible to use.
