I'm trying to set a conditional value list with checkboxes, but I can't get to check a checkboxe, File Maker gives me a message that the field is not modifiable. I did allowed entry in that field. Any advise?

I am not sure that you are trying to do what you are saying that you are trying to do.

You do not "set" conditional value lists by a checkbox.

I can only assume you mean that you are trying to enter data into a field via checkboxes which are defined by a conditional value list.

However the error message you indicate usually appears when you try to set a value into a calculation field.

Sorry for any grammatical mistakes, I not English...but what you assume is what I'm trying to do.

I did use a text field, without any calculation, but I do get that error message.

Check you validation, perhaps you have the "Prohibit Modification of Value" option checked.

It works now, and it was'nt because of the modification checkbox. the field was'nt defined... It's funny how things disapear!
