skynight Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 I was told that FM Developer could make a file that runs on a computer or website that does not have the FM program installed, for read-only or limited data entry. Is that available and how do I set it up? I cannot find anything in the help files maybe because I am not using the right keyword.
Newbies benc4liberty Posted February 28, 2005 Newbies Posted February 28, 2005 I'm trying to figure out the same thing, if you figure it out, post it here, if I figure it out, I'll post it...seems no one here can answer that.
stanley Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Skynight: Open FMD 7, and under File->Developer Utilities... you'll find the tools to do this. You'd be creating either a runtime or a kiosk application, depending on the specifics of what you want. -Stanley
Vaughan Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 FM Developer can create a runtime for MacOS or Windows. Not sure what you mean by "website" though...
Elwood Blues Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I tried creating a runtime on a Mac machine at work. I wanted to take it home, but I have a PC. I couldn't get the runtime to work on Windows. Is there something that I need to do to make one runtime file work on both a Mac and a PC?
SteveB Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Windows runtime have to be created on a Win box, Macs on a Mac. The same FM solution can be cross platform, but needs to be 'compiled' on each platform. Steve
