NickS Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 When I restarted my computer all my FM7 file icons turned white and will not open except from within FM7. What could cause this and how do I fix it?
Ano Nimus Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 If this were Windows, I'd answer that the OS has lost the file associations and that you need to tell the OS to open .fp7 files with FMP7 henceforth. As Mac is not exactly my forte, this is all I can say: The Mac deals with recognition of which program should be used to open certain files differently (the info for that is actually in the files themselves) but I have no idea how to restore that. Maybe some utility that works akin to 'restore permissions' in the Disk Utility? C'mon ye MacExperts, teach us!
BobWeaver Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Maybe try repairing your file permissions? That's the usual suggestion when things go wrong in OSX.
