Help With a Plug-in

Featured Replies

Hello, hopefully someone can give me a hand here.

I need a plug in that executes a dos-prompt, very similiar to the "Curl Shell" plug-in that's out there. Howeve,r the Curl-Shell plug-in only works in win2k/XP. I need one that works in windows ME. Basically, the curl one calls "cmd" when I need one that calls "command." The programs are essentially the same.

I'm hoping someone can give me a hand, I really don't have anything to offer other than a Thank You!

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Try the Send Message script step. I'm sure it can run batch field.

Don't rush to conclusions... I accept PayPal!

It looks like i cannot launch the "send message" script with a variable tag. I also need something that Will set the result as a field. Any other ideas? I might be able to assist with the paypal, for something nominal.

Hi Night,

Can you provide more details? What specifically are you trying to do?

Basically I use the dos-prompt based program Curl. I access the API on a web site that requires me sending it Headers and XML input, Curl so far has been the only program that I can interface with Filemaker that works correctly.

To access curl, I use a plug-in called shell (or also known as curl-shell). It basically takes my input, passes it to a dos prompt, and then the result is passed back into a field.

Unfortunatly, shell calls "cmd" which only works in windows 2000, and XP. I need it to call "command" which is available in all Microsoft OSes.

I hope this helps.
