I couldn't find any info on this forum on even on Google about using FileMaker to validate an e-mail address before submitting the form via e-mail. Has anyone run across this issue or a plug-in that does this?

Instead of just looking for '@' follow by '.' in the e-mail string, I'm looking for something that could send a dummy e-mail via smtp to validate the email address before sending the real thing.

Do a search for +validate +email and remove the 1 from the weeks option. There are several threads discussing this.
