Rotating a field?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there was a way to rotate a field. I have fields around a square diagram box and want the field to run parallel to it meaning the fields on the sides would read sideways. I tried to use the japanese format but either I am not understanding it or it isn't for this purpose. any suggestions?
