SANTA CLARA, CA -- Dec. 8, 2000 -- FileMaker Pro 5.0v3, the popular

workgroup database software, has been tested and certified to be

compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000 Terminal Services, according to

VeriTest, the official independent laboratory that tests software

compatibility for Microsoft Terminal Services.

Earlier this week, FileMaker released details on its documentation and

support for running FileMaker Pro 5.0v3 (Worldwide English version) and

FileMaker Server 5.0v2 (Worldwide English version) in a Windows 2000

Terminal Services environment.

Details on FileMaker and Terminal Services configurations, system

requirements, documentation and support are at

Customers using FileMaker Pro 5.0v3 and FileMaker Server 5.0v2 for

Windows with Windows 2000 Terminal Services may benefit from centralized

administration, efficient enterprise-wide deployment of applications,

improved capabilities for remote computing, simplified upgrade processes

and lower total cost of ownership. Additionally, Windows 2000 Terminal

Services also significantly increases the speed at which FileMaker

operates over dial-up and WANs.
