Mariano Posted March 14, 2005 Author Posted March 14, 2005 Hey everybody- I am using 3 different drop down menus, i cant for the life of me figure out how to set it up so each combination of drop downs will return a different result. I could do it with IF AND functions, but that would be really tedious. Is there a quicker way to do it then touch each different combination with an if formula? Mark

IOkate Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Yes, I'm trying to do this too. Being brand-new to FMP, I have no idea if this is a practical thing to do or not. I want to have 3 drop down boxes in sequence - for example: DB1 will have choices: fruit, veggies, rocks After picking "fruit", DB2 will show choices: apples, oranges. If "veggies" was picked, it would show: okra, broccoli, lettuce DB3 after picking "apples": gala, braeburn, granny smith Is this the kind of thing you're trying to do? Kate.

IOkate Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I hacked it up with simple scripts, but discarded the solution as bad design. For my purposes, I'm just having 3 tiers of checkboxes because my users said it was helpful to see all the categories laid out at a glance. They said the drop boxes were too "mysterious" and checkboxes were way easier to use. Maybe you can do the same kind of thing?
