Hello.

Need some help with the set up.

I go to host:80/fmi/config

Set the first two sets of passwords

I get to "Overveiw" the pink box titled localhost, reads the publishing engine is not responding, to configure click here.

I click there

Get to another user name password screen

And it will not take the User Names and passwords I set up?

What user name and passwords is it looking for?

I think I narrowed it down to the user name and password for the Web Publishing Engine.

Which I set.

For a test I changed the user name, no problems.

Went to change password, problems

Went to try and change the user name back, problems

Hello Salesman0Gil,

I sent in the logs for WPE and IIS to Filemaker tech support as they asked me to. He said he would call me back with a response today at 1pm PST. Have 200 user license. Need to get FM7 up and working or company will use another product.

These are the main things I see:

Publishing Engine Configuration: Authenticate Publishing Engine Access

The Publishing Engine user name or password is not valid.

Is the "Publishing Engine" the Filemaker Engine, or my secondary Web Engine?:P?

We are using IIS version 5 on Win2k. The Publishing engine is the Web portion of the advanced FM server product. The FM server is a separate component, then you have the FM application (databases), and then of course there is a web server.
