I've developed a FM7 runtime solution that I now have a client for that wants to run the runtime applications out in the field on laptops (it's a construction estimating program) and then when those laptops come back to the office they would then sync their information with a master database running there.

Am I correct in saying to do this the master database back in the home office has to be running using FM Server rather than just the standard edition FileMaker Pro?

Although I don't use V7, I don't you need Server. There are a couple of approaches: one is a plugin called 'Synchdek' from www.worldsync.com that synchs via emails. A second approach is to search for Audit Trails. Bob Weaver just wrote one for V7. Look in 'Sample Files'. CoreSolutions also has an example for Version 7 that can be downloaded.
